Lay back on the bed / chair / couch … make yourself comfortable … when you are ready … close your eyes … good …

Imagine yourself at the top of a staircase … in a nice, modern building … that looks foreign to you … but at the same time is safe … it has nice décor … colourful curtains … soft carpet … nice furniture … but not too much of anything …

(pause)

You realise that it is a train station … a very nice train station … there are a few people here and there … but they are not bothering you … you hardly notice them … there are some unusual sounds … but nothing too disturbing … just the sound of my voice … guiding you through this station … the sun shines nicely … through the windows … it’s warming and positive … you can already feel … your cares vanishing away … as you walk through … this most calming and peaceful … train station …

… you notice … in front of you … as you are walking … is a beautiful … stone … stair case … leading downwards … to the platform … you approach it …

the staircase has ten steps … and as you take each step down .. you find you self more relaxed than before … at each step … I want you to focus on a different part of your body … starting from the top and moving down … ten … the top of your head is relaxed … nine … now your face is relaxed … another step … eight … your shoulders are relaxed … let go … now step seven … your chest is relaxed … six … your arms and hands … good … now step five … your abdomen is relaxed … now four … your hips and pelvis … now step three … your thighs … deeply relaxed … two your calves … and finally step one … your feet and toes are more relaxed …

(pause)

You find yourself on the platform … walking towards the train … you go inside the train … the engines vibrating the floor of the train … gently … softly … you feel yourself relaxing already … in this train … not a normal train … a special train … there are beds and chairs here … you choose whatever suits you … and lay down … or sit down … a host comes up to you … says they will … be your guide … and will support you on this … journey …

(pause)

The train starts to move … and as it does … the motion rocks you … gently … softly .. and makes you … even more relaxed … and calmer … than before … notice your body … relaxing … all the way down … from your head … to your toes … so relaxed …

(pause)

The train moves for a while… then … you can feel it slowing down … gradually … (pause)

It arrives at another station … it pulls up … gently … you get up and exit the train … and enter the station … which looks different than the one … that you started at … you get off the train … and you enter the station … and as you walk through this station … you notice people around … and vendors … food vendors … with all sorts of things to sell … it all looks tasty … only looks tasty … may not actually be tasty … you are indifferent to this food … it’s okay now and then … but not often … the plates are too big … too much food on them … this is not what you want … smaller portions are what you want … less of this food … which looks tasty … and enticing … but really isn’t … You’ve seen enough of this station … it’s time … to get back on your train … and resume your seat or your bed … so you do this… back on the train … your guide is there … again … looking after you … (pause)  …. It starts moving again … slowly … and it travels for a while … (pause)

Now you are at another … different … station … you get off the train … this is a nicer station … the food is more natural … and looks really healthy … and easy to eat … and good for you … and the portions are smaller … and better … and you feel like … you could eat this … and be happier … at soul level … and mentally … and emotionally … if you would just … eat this food instead … of what you saw … at the last station … so you actually sample a little of it … and it is so good … way better than you expected … and it doesn’t leave you hungry … not this food … and you know … this is the station … the food station … that you always want to visit … better food … in so many ways … and more filling … so that you don’t … crave anything else … you smile at the vendors … they have your best interests at heart … and you feel like … this is easy to make … and enjoyable to make … and you’ll do it often … and not visit the other station … except … every now and again … when you need to …

You leave this station now … and get back on the train … and meet your host again … they smile at you … they know you made the right choice … and will continue to … you lay down … or sit down … again … and the train moves away again … where … is it going now? … it is moving again … and gently …

(pause) …

Then … you see that you are … arriving … back at the same station that … you started at … except that … it looks a bit different … at this station … are family and friends … those people who love you … and care about you … and they are cheering … and clapping you … for making good decisions … about food … now .. and always … you see … their smiling faces … as you exit the train … waving goodbye to your guardian … who stays on the train … and you walk through … your family and friends … all smiling … at you … (pause) ….

and you see a mirror … in front of you … now … you see your reflection … and you look amazing … like you always wanted to look … not how you feel … you should look … but the happiest you could be … and lighter … and healthier … than ever before … on the top of the mirror … are the words … “The Future You” … so you know this is a special … magic … mirror … and the train trip you just did … will create the image … that you now see in the mirror … the image smiles at you … and you smile back … already happier … and lighter … and healthier … just by taking this trip … (pause)

You are at the bottom of the staircase you started at … and you start to ascend … with each step up  you become more alert … one … two … you begin to become more alert … three … four … more awake … five … six … starting to feel more of your body again … seven … moving arms and legs … eight … getting ready to open your eyes … nine … almost there, and … ten, open your eyes!
