RELEASING FEARBy Lynda Aghan
This script is targeting a general issue of fear. It includes ego strengthening, direct suggestions, and private subconscious healing.
Induction and deepening of choice…
So let yourself go deeper and deeper. I am now going to count down from 10 to 1 and as I count down, you will go deeper and deeper into relaxation…10, 9, 8, going deeper now… 7, 6, 5, relaxing more and more… 4, 3, 2, 1, you are so very relaxed…
You have now become so very deeply relaxed . . . your unconscious mind so receptive to what I say…your unconscious mind will recall all that has been said . . . and will continue your healing outside of this room just as when you are here with me.
These things that I say for your unconscious mind will resonate with you to such an extent that their influence will be felt in your thoughts . . . your feelings . . . your behaviour . . . resonate with a deep knowing just as strongly . . . just as surely . . . just as powerfully . . . when you are at home . . . when you are at work . . . when you are doing your favourite activities . . . as when you are here with me.
During this deep relaxation . . . you are going to feel much less easily discouraged . . . much less anxious . . . much less depressed. You will think clearer . . . gain a deeper understanding . . . gain clarity in your decisions and your ability to carry through on those decisions.
Every day as you become more confident . . . you will be able to do what you need to . . . without fear of failure . . . without fear of the unknown . . . without fear of being powerless . . . without fear of not belonging . . . without fear of being unloved.
Every day your feelings of wellness will increase . . . you will have a greater sense of your awesomeness . . . being able to stand in your own power . . . knowing that you have a voice and you are being heard . . . being able to stand up for yourself . . . without relying or depending on others.
Starting this very moment you have all the resources you need to accomplish all that you envision. You are happy, confident, empowered and becoming the best “you” that you can possibly be . . . secure in the knowledge that deep down you already know that it will take to accomplish your goals and that each day you are one day close to experiencing their fulfillment.
You may periodically find yourself experiencing anxiety, butterflies or a sense of fear. Know that those feelings are normal and not to be worried about. Make a note as to where you feel them in your body. Is it your head . . . is it in your stomach . . . is it in your throat? Wherever it is . . . think of those feelings as being a balloon. You pick the color of the balloon. Feel yourself condensing those unwanted feelings into the balloon and when you are ready . . . release the balloon and imagine it floating away.
At present I would like you to picture a large garden. It is a sunny day with a refreshing breeze. You can see a number of trees and bushes around you. You are standing in a clearing and there are 3 pathways leading off into the distance. At your feet is a backpack. Open the backpack and you will notice inside that there are 3 different coloured orbs. Close up the backpack again and put it on. Now choose a path… Make a note of the scenery, what trees and plants are there . . . what smells you notice . . . what sounds you hear. As you travel down this path, think about one of the specific fears that you feel. You don’t need to recall the details or times or places but just the fear itself. Really immerse yourself in that feeling. Reach inside your backpack and take out an orb. Capture inside the orb all the feelings you have about this fear. Put the orb back into the backpack and walk back to the clearing.
Choose a different path. You will notice that your surroundings have changed from the path you just went down. There are different trees, plants, smells and sounds. As you walk along this pathway, I want you to think about another fear. Again you don’t need to recall the details, or times or places, just the fear itself. Really immerse yourself in that feeling. Reach inside your backpack and take out a different orb than the one you had before. Capture inside the orb all the feelings you have about this fear. Put the orb back into the backpack and walk back to the clearing.
Now travel down the third pathway. Again you will notice that your surroundings have changed… different trees, plants, smells and sounds. As you walk along this pathway, I want you to think about another fear. Once more, you don’t need to recall the details, or times or places, just the fear itself. Really immerse yourself in that feeling. When you are ready, reach into the backpack and pull out the last orb. Capture inside the orb all the feelings you have about this fear. Put the orb back into the backpack and walk back to the clearing.
At the clearing, take off your backpack, sit down and take out the 3 orbs and put them on your lap. These are 3 fears which have no place in your life now. You can let them go with thanks for protecting some part of yourself. You are stronger now and those fears do not have a hold on you anymore. See the orbs float up from your lap and away in to the distance. You feel lighter and rejuvenated. The beliefs that you held about yourself due to those fears are not true now and you can let them go also. Your unconscious mind will know what they are so you don’t need to know the exact details for the process to work, just trust in the process.
Now imagine a healing pink light surrounding and penetrating your body. See it sinking through every bone . . . every muscle . . . every organ . . . see it travel in every vein and artery . . . travelling from the top of your head and out the soles of your feet. And as it travels from the top of your head to the soles of your feet, it is taking with it all the stress, tension and fear that is built up and stored within your muscles and cells. See this healing energy waft over your entire being, bringing you back to perfect balance and health.
Now it is time to come back to this place and time, bringing with you all that you have learnt and experienced. I am going to count from 1 to 10 and when I reach 10, you will be fully awake, feeling great, energized and alert.
10, feel a tingling in your toes and feet…9, feel the energy travelling up your legs…8, 7, feel the energy travelling up your thighs… 6, 5, feel the energy travel up your stomach, feel your heart rate and blood pressure return to a normal rate for you… 4, 3, feel your arms and shoulders… 2, feel your neck and head… 1, open your eyes (click fingers).
